Professional experience
Tania is a qualified Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of experience across a broad range of settings including hospitals, community organisations, correctional facilities, and not-for-profit sectors. Tania has also worked internationally, providing specialist support to refugees and asylum seekers experiencing complex mental health issues.
Throughout her career, Tania has supported individuals across the lifespan—including children, adolescents, adults, and families—facing challenges related to mental health, trauma, disability, substance use, and psychosocial stressors. She brings a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and client-centred approach to their practice, drawing on extensive experience in cross-cultural contexts and trauma-informed care.
Tania conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand each client’s unique context and tailors interventions accordingly. She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-based interventions. Her work is grounded in a strengths-based philosophy that aims to empower clients to build resilience and achieve meaningful outcomes.
