Professional experience
Eliza is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with more than ten years of experience in various roles within the community sector, including youth mental health, homelessness, domestic and family violence, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare. She possesses over five years of counselling experience working with adults in community settings, both in person and through telehealth services.
Eliza’s professional training encompasses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, and therapeutic crisis intervention. Her practice employs a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented approach, aiming to create a supportive environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. Eliza utilizes techniques tailored to meet clients’ specific needs to facilitate their healing process.
Eliza offers therapy and treatment to assist individuals in managing stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, anger management, relationship issues, substance use issues, and recovery from the impact of domestic and family violence and sexual assault.
