Professional experience
Anika is a dedicated psychologist with a diverse background. In her past role as a Veteran Services Consultant, Anika managed most of the DVA and RSL files in the Illawarra region. She has extensive experience in aiding veterans through their transitions from the ADF, assisting them with medical management, psychosocial adjustments, and vocational goals, ensuring a smoother transition into civilian life. She also adeptly aided veterans in securing new employment opportunities by addressing vocational barriers, and crafting effective resumes and cover letters. Anika is also WASP accredited, enabling her to work closely with acutely unwell veterans and their treatment teams, offering invaluable support towards their recovery journey.
With a warm, holistic, and authentic therapeutic approach, Anika specialises in providing comprehensive support to individuals facing challenges such as bipolar disorder, chronic diseases, complex PTSD, depression, eating disorders, sexual assault trauma, and stress. Her expertise extends to supporting individuals in the areas of parenting, perinatal care, disability, and carer support.
