Access Assist Service

Access Psych recognises the importance of early intervention and support for injured workers with mental health concerns. Via the Access Assist Service, we work with clients with primary and secondary psychological injuries, providing client-centred, goal-oriented treatment and psychological support.

Who is it for?

The program is targeted at individuals who have sustained a mental health injury and require early access to treatment and return to work support.

How does it work?

The Access Assist Service includes two weekly sessions with a scheme-approved mental health clinician, followed by a report highlighting barriers to return to work, return to goals and treatment recommendations.

A further six sessions are then completed on a fortnightly schedule followed by a scheme specific report or treatment plan. Post the initial eight sessions, Access Psych can provide ongoing treatment at scheme rates, if deemed clinically appropriate.

Additional insurer liaison

Access Psych clinicians can participate in scheduled case conferences to support a client’s return to work.
