Ben Maher
Professional experience
Ben spent time working in several roles before finding his way to psychology. Since his studies, he has worked with children and adults, including supporting young children via the Department of Communities and Justice, people from the LGBTQIA+ community and people transitioning into retirement with occupational rehabilitation provider IPAR.
Ben has worked with clients experiencing personality and mood disorders, mental disabilities, schizoaffective disorders, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, ASD, Behavioural Disorders, developmental delays and addiction.
Ben has a passion for philosophy and psychology. He has gained understanding into how trauma can present while also understanding how to change thinking patterns in order to improve quality of life. Ben has a holistic approach and seeks to find a suitable way to deliver treatment evidenced to achieve the client’s goals.
