Sam Zhong
Sam is a Mental Health Social Worker skilled in mental health assessments, safety planning, suicide prevention and psychotherapy, with experience in rural public mental health and working with both adults and chilrdren. Sam’s therapeutic approaches involve Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Sam utilises a creative, person-centred, non-judgmental, accepting and authentic therapeutic style. Sam’s clinical interests extend to children, adolescents, adults and families, as well as rural or regional and LGBTQIA+ persons, and include mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-worth issues, anger management, personality disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Fluent in English and Mandarin, Sam is capable of offering culturally sensitive counselling services.
