Professional experience
Dedicated to providing a trauma-informed and person-centred approach, Amanda offers a variety of services tailored to clients experiencing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic and complex trauma. These include counselling, therapy, and psycho-education, integrating therapeutic interventions like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), EMDR, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. Additionally, Amanda has a broad knowledge of somatic-based therapies and serves as a trauma-informed somatic-based yoga teacher.
In her practice, Amanda sees her role as that of a compassionate listener, creating a non-judgemental space grounded in empathy to help clients overcome life’s challenges. With experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, ages, gender identities, and abilities, Amanda works collaboratively with those she supports to establish personalised goals and develop strategies aimed at overcoming obstacles, fostering strong therapeutic relationships along the way.
